I dislike BBCAmerica because the head of it hates and has banned all classic BBC series, no classic Are You Being Served, Avengers, Doctor Who, Benny Hill, and others plus they censored Hex. We do get Torchwood there but I don't even have it anymore due to this policy. I catch most things on DVD but PBS is a much better British station than BBCAmerica.

I cant believe they censored Hex .... I cant think of any particular scenes that were in need of censoring (apart from the Thelma / Maya breakfast table scene).

Its a real shame that sci-fi (& I guess pretty much every US Show) shows in the US are 'dumbing down'.Is it just to appeal to a greater audience or just so bodies dont have to use quite so much of the grey matter ??

They think the audience is stupid and ignorant for sure, but extra commercials are always a plus to them and the way they go to commercials on these shows just does not feel natural. I do not think these shows are built for commercial breaks but if there had to be some I could think of better places to put them than this station does.

About Hex, I understand that the US DVDs are edited too so if anyone wants to buy it, import it from the UK and get a region free DVD player, you may be able to hack what you have now, it is quick and easy to do and totally legal despite what the DVD companies might say.
